Our Practice
Core Psychotherapy Center, Ltd. has been providing psychotherapy services in the Chicagoland area since 2000. Working from a cultural and gender-sensitive practice, we provide services to diverse populations including adults, children, adolescents, couples, families, and the LGBT community. We offer individual and couples psychotherapy, and facilitates various psychotherapy groups.
Our treatment orientation is primarily grounded in relational and attachment perspectives – focusing on the origins of both intrapersonal and interpersonal difficulties. We focus on understanding the impact of various experiences in life including early relationships, relational trauma, other losses & tragedies, and life stressors, on an individual’s ability to maintain a healthy relationship with self and others. Rather than pathologize, we focus on understanding the connection between maladaptive coping styles and experiences in life that contribute to recurrent or persistent problems. Treatment places emphasis on validation, empowerment, and nurturance of an individual’s capacity for healing and growth.
